OEE Consulting is a highly successful management consulting business currently operating with around 100 staff and enjoying unparalleled retention levels. We compete directly with the larger consulting firms across the UK service sector, with a strong presence in financial services. The roles we are looking to fill will operate at a senior level in our business.
We help our clients to improve the performance of their businesses, supporting both incremental improvement programmes and far-reaching business transformation: we turn business strategy into operational reality. Fundamental to how we work is the support we provide to our clients’ people, coaching them to do what we do.
Our people are the heart of our business: intelligent, clear thinking, outgoing, and unpretentious. The company is non-hierarchical, supportive, and non-corporate. You will be trusted to do the right thing by our clients and given the flexibility to manage your own schedule to achieve this. The work we do is interesting, challenging and wide-ranging in nature, and so is our client base. You won’t be constrained to one sector or service line.
Home location is not an issue: we don’t mind where you live (UK home base only) but as in any consulting role you can expect lots of travel and time spent away from home, however when not engaged on a client site you will work from home if you wish to.
You are an experienced consultant and operations specialist looking to join a team where you really can achieve your career aspirations. You have great general consulting experience but your real capability is in operations: leading transformational change in operations areas; driving up customer service effectiveness; applying lean principles and simple common sense; making change stick.
You have a good understanding of operations management within the service sector, particularly: Financial Services; Utilities; Managed Services; Telecoms or similar businesses. You are a natural relationship builder, enthusiastic, innovative and credible with senior stakeholders - at ease with complex situations, bringing clarity where there is none, whilst not losing sight of the big picture. You also have confidence in your own capabilities: OEE Consulting prefer people who get on and do what’s right for the client straight away, rather than waiting for ‘permission’.
We will expect to see solid experience of leading consulting assignments and an approach that encompasses the people as well as the technical aspects of change.
Equally important are your broader business skills and experience and we will of course expect you to have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written – generally PowerPoint). Your experience is supported by your excellent academic background.
Our client base provides some opportunity to work in mainland Europe, the America’s and in other ‘off-shore’ locations (working in long haul destinations is entirely optional). Hence fluency in other European languages will be advantageous.
Be honest with yourself: we have a class leading assessment process and we will be assessing you on all of these areas.
