At OEE Consulting we understand the greatest pressure facing the managed services sector is that of cost. Or more specifically, the relentless pressure to constantly reduce price year on year. That’s because clients increasingly expect the same high standards of service performance at a lower price, resulting in many companies having to sacrifice their margins in order to retain the business they have.
We help those operating in the managed services sector to better understand their business by identifying the difference between labour arbitrage and value added service delivery. Then we ensure they deliver, innovate and sustain this service as efficiently as possible. In some cases this is through the design of effective operational models and organisational realignment. In others it’s the improvement of processes and the development of new skills for employees through our learning and development function; to make them self-sufficient. In all cases, we support them by delivering improved customer service which will be visible to their clients, which in turn leads to dramatic improvements in client retention.
We developed an operations excellence programme for Compass Group for use across their entire UK and Ireland business. Working with their catering, cleaning, security and facilities management sectors, the programme delivered improved customer service and reduced operational costs. In our work with HP Enterprise Services we have significantly improved their managed services efficiency across Europe, Africa and back home in the UK and Ireland. We also supported them in the successful creation of an entirely new service for one of their clients. This encompassed everything from design, identifying employee requirements, running recruitment and developing bespoke training.
